We are now a Yellow Fever Centre and can offer Yellow Fever vaccinations to anyone who requires this.  You do not have to be a patient here to receive a Yellow Fever vaccination.

Please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment with the nurse.

The cost is £59.59 - this is for the vaccination and the certificate, payable in cash only at reception


We will be closed on the following Bank Holidays in 2016:- 25th March, 28th March, 2nd May, 30th May, 29th August, 26th December, 27th December.

We will be closed from 12:30pm on Wednesday 14th September 2016 for Protected Learning Time  and will resume normal opening times at 08:00 the next working day. Click here for a full list of days the Surgery will be closed.

The following groups of patients are eligible for a flu vaccination:-

 - Aged 65 or over ie date of birth before 1st April 1950.

- Aged 6 months to under 65 in a clinical risk group.

- Pregnant women

- Children aged 2,3, or 4 years old as at 1st September 2014.

- Those in long stay residential care homes.

- Carers

If you are eligible and still not had your flu vaccination, please contact the surgery to make an appointment. 


If you were aged 70, 71, 72, 78 or 79 on 1st September 2015 you may also be eligible for a shingles vaccination. The vaccine can be given at the same time as your Flu Vaccine.

CQC Inspection

The CQC Inspectors visited the surgery on Tuesday 27th October to carry out a routine inspection of our practice. We are pleased that Woodview Medical Centre was rated as Good in all areas. Their report is available on this website to view. Thank you to all those patients, including members of our PPG who contributed to their inspection.

Electronic Prescription Service

Making life easier for you

The NHS has introduced an Electronic Prescription Service to help make collecting your prescription easier. Your GP can send it electronically to your local pharmacy for you to pick up. Please call in to find out more and pick up a leaflet and to nominate your chosen pharmacy.  

NEW :  You can now order your repeat prescriptions and book appointments by using your smart phone  (currently only android and mac devices)
